Im 15 and am hoping to be a riding instructor/trainer. I am doing BHS exams at present but am wondering what qualifications i will need and what i should study etc.
Some people have said i should leave school after my junior certificate (irish equivalent of GCSE’s) and study an apprentership at a UK college (Im a British citizen).
What do people think?

I think you would be best to leave school after year 11 and go to a college, I think the BCA (Berkshire Countryside College) is a college with a few different courses to study, as well as some to do when you are 18. It has a massive floodlit arena, and room for 53 horses, so you can bring your own if you have one.

I’m looking into taking some equine college courses; i’m 21 and own a house,married with lots of animals, so going away to a school is not an option for me. I also work full time. I plan to open up an equestrian center to train,teach lessons,possibly breed and board. I’ve been riding for 13 years, but i wouldn’t consider myself knowlodgeable enough for managing a stable. Is there any colleges in Washington State that have courses I could attend at night? Or maybe colleges that do courses over the internet? Any help is wonderful!!!! thank you
